These Games Are Leaving the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in August 2026

If you’ve been putting off playing some of the titles in the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalog, now might be the time to start downloading them. Sony has revealed the first batch of games leaving the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in August 2026, with a total of eight titles currently confirmed to depart the service on August 18.

As expected, Earth Defense Force 6 is among the biggest games leaving next month. Joining it are Unicorn Overlord and Harold Halibut, along with several titles that were originally scheduled to leave in July before receiving a last-minute extension. It’s worth noting that the current list comes from the Japanese and Asian PlayStation Stores. Other regions are expected to receive the same lineup once their stores update, although there could be minor regional differences.

Games Leaving PS Plus Extra & Premium in August 2026

The following games are currently scheduled to leave the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on August 18, 2026:

  • Earth Defense Force 6
  • Unicorn Overlord
  • Harold Halibut
  • Clash: Artifacts of Chaos
  • Onee Chanbara Origin
  • Space Crew: Legendary Edition
  • Bomber Crew
  • Röki

Five of those games—Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, Onee Chanbara Origin, Space Crew: Legendary Edition, Bomber Crew, and Röki—were originally expected to leave the service in July before Sony pushed their departure back by a month. As always, once these games leave the catalog, they’ll no longer be playable through a PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium subscription unless you’ve purchased them separately.

If any of the titles above have been sitting in your backlog, you’ve got just under a month to check them out before they’re removed from the service. Sony is expected to announce the August additions to the Game Catalog closer to that same August 18 refresh.
