The official Xbox Wire announcement has since been updated, with an editor’s note confirming that the game has been removed from the “Coming Soon” list. No explanation was provided for the last-minute change.
That lack of communication has naturally sparked speculation, especially since the game is published by Activision, a company now owned by Microsoft. If anything, many players expected Activision’s back catalog to become an increasingly common sight on Game Pass, making the removal all the more surprising.
